ITINERARY
DAY 1: DELHI
Arrive Delhi. You are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Overnight is in
Delhi.
DAY 2: DELHI - MUMBAI
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. You will
be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After checking in to your hotel you
will have the rest of the day free for leisure activities. Overnight is in Mumbai.
DAY 3: MUMBAI
Today you have a full day of sightseeing ahead of you. Visit St. John's Church,
Mumbai Fort, Gateway of India, and Chowpatty Beach. Overnight is in Mumbai.
DAY 4: MUMBAI - AURANGABAD
After breakfast you will be driven to Aurangabad where you will see Ellora Caves, a
UNESCO World Heritage site See 34 Buddhist temples, Hindu temples, Jain
shrines which are all carved from solid rock. The highlight is the magnificient Kailash
Temple. Overnight is in Aurangabad.
DAY 5: AURANGABAD
After breakfast you will see the Ajanta Caves, another UNESCO World Heritage
site. These 30 caves are also carved out of stone and have outstanding Buddhist
paintings and artwork. Overnight is in Aurangabad.
DAY 6: AURANGABAD - MUMBAI - UDAIPUR
From Aurangabad you will take a short to Mumbai where you can visit Elephanta
Caves before flying on to Udaipur. Overnight is in Udaipur.
DAY 7: UDAIPUR - JODHPUR
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After checking in you will
have the rest of the day to explore Jodhpur. See the Meherangarh Fort, Umaid
Bhavan Palace and Gardens and the Clock Tower. Overnight is in Jodhpur.
DAY 8: JODHUPUR - JAIPUR
From Jodhpur you will be driver to Jaipur, the fabled Pink City. Visit Kishangarh Fort
Birla Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Hawa Mahal, Jama Masjid, and Jantar Mantar.
Overnight is in Jaipur.
DAY 9: JAIPUR
You have another day to sightsee around Jaipur. Overnight is in Jaipur.
DAY 10: JAIPUR - AGRA
You leave this morning for Agra en route stopping at Mathura, the birthplace of Lord
Krishna, and the deserted city of Sikandra. After checking in to your hotel in Agra
you have the option of seeing The Taj Mahal at sunset or waiting until the next
morning to see it at sunrise. Evening is in Agra.
DAY 11: AGRA - JHANSI - ORCCHA
Early morning viewing of The Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Afterwards you will board the
train for Jhansi. From Jhansi you will be met and driven to the medieval city of
Orccha. Overnight is in Orccha.
DAY 12: ORCCHA - KHAJURAHO - VARANASI
After breakfast you will be driven to Khajuraho to see the 1,000 year old erotic
temples. Later in the day you will take a short flight from Khajuraho to Varanasi.
Overnight is in Varanasi.
DAY 13: VARANASI
You have a full day in Varanasi. Take a boat ride to view the city from the sacred
Ganges, walk the labyrinth of streets in the old section, sit on the ghats and watch
pilgrims offer their prayers to Mother Ganga, or vish it the countless temples.
Overnight is in Varanasi.
DAY 14: VARANASI - DELHI
Your morning is free before being taken to the train station for your overnight journey
back to Delhi.
DAY 15: DELHI
When you arrive in Delhi you will be taken to your hotel. Tour ends.
