ITINERARY
DAY 1: DELHI
Arrive Delhi. You are met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight is in Delhi.
DAY 2: DELHI
Today you have the entire day to visit Delhi's World Heritage Sites: Humayun's
Tomb, Qutab Minar, and Red Fort. Overnight is in Delhi.
DAY 3: DELHI - AGRA
This morning after breakfast you will be driven to Agra en route visiting Mathura,
the birthplace of Lord Krishna, and the deserted city of Sikandra. When you
arrive you will check into your hotel. Tonight you can see two more World
Heritage sites: Agra Fort and The Taj Mahal. Overnight is in Agra.
DAY 4: AGRA - JHANSI - KHAJURAHO
From Agra you are transferred to Jhansi where you will catch the train to
Khajuraho, another World Heritage site. Upon your arrival in Khajuraho you will
check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free to spend as you wish. Overnight
is in Khajuraho.
DAY 5: KHAJURAHO
You have the entire day to explore the mysterious temple complex of Khajuraho.
Overnight is in Khajuraho.
DAY 6: KHAJURAHO - SATNA - BODHGAYA
You have the morning to further explore the temple complex. In the afternoon you
will be driven to Satna to catch your train to Bodhgaya, one of the most important
Buddhist pilgrimage sites in India and a World Heritage site. When you arrive in
Bodhgaya you will be taken to your hotel for check in. Overnight is in Bodhgaya.
DAY 7: BODHGAYA
You have the day to explore the Mahabodhi Temple and its environs. You can
also see the the descendent of the tree under which the Buddha achieved
enlightenment. Overnight is in Bodhgaya.
DAY 8: BODHGAYA - DELHI
You will catch your train to return to Delhi. You will be met by our representative
and taken to your hotel for the night. Overnight is in Delhi.
DAY 9: DELHI
You will be taken to the station or airport for your onward journey. Tour ends.
